v. to predict, to forecast. (Less frequent than the native synonym ทำนาย).

(พะ-ยา-กอน) คำพยากรณ์ (n. prediction).

วันนี้อากาศจะแจ่มใสตามคำพยากรณ์ The weather will be fine today, according to the weather forecast.

เขาพยากรณ์ว่าจะเกิดเหตุร้าย He prophesied disaster. ที่เขาพยากรณ์ไว้เป็นจริงทุกอย่าง Everything he predicted came true. เราได้ยินคำพยากรณ์ในวิทยุว่า อากาศจะดี We heard a prediction on the radio that the weather will be good.
